In light of the tragic death of Awaab Ishak, the housing sector is under increased scrutiny regarding its management of DMC issues. The amendment to the Social Housing (Regulation) Bill, alongside the introduction of Awaab's Law, places greater responsibility on Social Housing Landlords to address damp, mould, and condensation in properties.  It is intended for this law to be extended into the private rental sector.
